Fate intervened in an intriguing manner when Brett arrived in West Palm Beach for his tournament. He was introduced to Phillip Agassi, who happened to be the manager and brother of his new partner; a 15-year-old junior tennis sensation named Andre Agassi.
Picture this, during Brett & Andre’s first doubles match warm-up, Brett noticed something unusual. Andre wasn't practicing certain essential tennis shots like overheads and volleys, which are crucial for doubles. Brett thought, 'Oh boy, they've set me up with this kid who might not know his way around the doubles court'. But then, Andres's first return was a forehand fired from a tennis shotgun! Brett was like, 'Wow, that's awesome, keep those coming!' with a big smile. This continued for the entire match and tournament as the unlikely duo reached the quarterfinals. Following the event, Andre and Phillip generously invited Brett to join them at the prestigious Nick Bollettieri tennis academy for top-tier world-class training.
